Today, November 17, 2013; Vijaya Varusha Karthigai Bharani (1am naal), Thirukarthigai was celebrated in a grand manner at Sri Bhaktavatsala Perumal Divya Desam, Thirukkannnmangai. In the morning, visesha Thirumanjanam was performed for Sri Bhaktavatasala Perumal and all other deities. In the evening, as is customary, lamps (thiruvillakku) were lit followed by punyahavachanam and Deeparadhanai for Perumal, Thayar and deities in all the other sannadhis. Thereafter, Perumal had purappadu and witnessed the burning of the SokkapAnai which was built out of dried leaves.
இன்று November 17, 2013 திருக்கார்த்திகையை முன்னிட்டு காலை ஸ்ரீ பக்தவத்ஸலப் பெருமாள் உள்ளிட்ட அனைத்து ஸ்வாமிகளுக்கும் விசேஷ திருமஞ்சனம் நடைபெற்றது. மாலை திருவிளக்குகள் ஏற்றப்பட்டு, புண்யாகவாசனம், ஆவாஹனம் ஆகி பெருமாள், தாயார் மற்றும் அனைத்து சன்னிதிகளுக்கும் தீபம் காட்டப்பட்டு தீபம் வைக்கப்பட்டு பின் ஸ்ரீ பெருமாள் புறப்பாடு ஆகி சொக்கப்பனை மேல் ஏறி திருவிளக்கு வைக்கப்பட்டு, ஸ்ரீ பெருமாள், சொக்கப்பனைக்கு திருவந்திக்காப்பு ஆகி சொக்கப்பனை கொளுத்தப்பட்டு மரம் வெட்டி சாய்த்த பின் ஸ்ரீ பெருமாள் திருவீதிப் புறப்பாடு கண்டருளினார்.
