Today, 8 March 2014, Vijaya Masi Rohini, is Day-5 of Tirupaliyodai Tirunal for NamPerumal. At 6.30 a.m. NamPerumal left Moolasthanam in pallaku and emerged out of Nazhiketan vasal where devotees were waiting to have darshan of Rangaraja. As He crossed Arya Bhattal vasal the Veda parayanam groups were ready to follow Him. The man with a collapsible tent waited readily and opened the same as soon as the pallaku came out. NamPerumal was dressed in a blue velvet robe with white embroidery. His crown, ear ornaments, Neelamani, ruby abhayahastham and long kasumalai and chains were visible as also the garlands which are unique and made at Madhurakavi Nandavanam daily. After making the rounds of the Utthira Veedhis NamPerumal returned to Ranga vilas mandapam where He will stay for the day. Evening purapadu will be on Irattai Prabhai.
