As part of the ongoing Brahmotsavam at Sri Soundararaja Perumal Kovil, Nagapattinam, Thiruveedhi purappadu for Perumal in various beautiful alankarams took place in the morning and evening everyday. On April 10th 2014, during day 6 of the utsavam, Perumal purappadu took place around maada streets, followed by laksharachnai for moolavar and thiruvadi thiruvadi thirumanjanam for urchavar. In the evening perumal blessed the devotees from Yanai vahanam during day 6 (April 10th) and in periya thiruvaasi vahanam during day 7 (April 11th) of the utsavam. The utsavam commenced in a grand manner on April 5, 2013 and will carry on until April 14, 2014. Several bhaktas participated in the utsavam and received the blessings of Thayar and Perumal.
ஆறாம் திருநாள் April 10th 2014: காலை பல்லக்கில் பெருமாள் பூமிதேவி நாச்சியாருடன் மாடவீதிகளுக்கு எழுந்தருளினார். மதியம் மூலவருக்கு லட்சார்ச்சனையும்,உற்சவருக்கு திருவடி திருமஞ்சனமும் நடைபெற்றது. மாலை, பெருமாள் பூமிதேவி நாச்சியாருடன் தங்க யானை வாஹனத்தில், சாயக்கொண்டை அணிந்து மடவீதிகளுக்கு எழுந்தருளினார். இரவு, தாயார் சந்நிதியில் ஸ்ரீ சௌந்தர்ராஜப்பெருமாளுக்கும் ஸ்ரீ சௌந்தரவல்லிதாயாருக்கும் திருக்கல்யாண உத்சவம்(மாலை மாற்றுதல்) நடைபெற்றது. பெருமாள், ஸ்வர்ணக்க்ரீடம், முத்துமாலை, ஸ்வர்ணப்பதக்கம் முதலிய நூதன ஆபரணங்கள் அணிந்து, கல்யாண அவசர சேவையில் பஞ்சாயுதபாநியாக சேவை சாதித்தார்
ஏழாம் திருநாள் April 11th 2014: காலை ஸ்வர்ண தோலுக்கிநியானில் பெருமாள் ஸ்ரீதேவி, பூமிதேவி நாச்சியாருடன் மாடவீதியில் உள்ள அபிமானஸ்தலமான ஸ்ரீ நவநீத கிருஷ்ணன் சந்நிதியில் சூர்ண உத்சவதிர்காக எழுந்தருளினார். அங்கு ஸ்ரீ பூ சமேதரான ஸ்ரீ சௌந்தர்ராஜப்பெருமாளுக்கும், ருக்மணி, சத்யபாமா சமேதரான ஸ்ரீ நவநீத கிருஷ்ணருக்கும், திருவடி திருமஞ்சனம் நடைபெற்றது. மதியம் ஸ்ரீ சௌந்தர்ராஜப்பெருமாளுக்கும், ஸ்ரீ நவநீத கிருஷ்ணருக்கும் சூர்ணபிஷேகமும் அதை தொடர்ந்து மாடவீதிப் புறப்பாடும் நடைபெற்றது. மாலை, பெருமாள் பெரிய திருவாசி வாஹனத்தில், கிளிக்கொண்டை அணிந்து, பஞ்சாயுதபாநியாக மடவீதிகளுக்கு எழுந்தருளினார்.
