Pasuram-20 “Muppathu Moovar ” was recited and the upanyasam on” Tiruppavai and Tirunedunthandakam” started at 5.00p.m. on 4/1/2015 by Ubha Ve Adoor Asuri Madhavachariar at Tirukudanthai Andavan Tirumamani Mandapam(Sathajith Bhavanam) Srirangam. 33 represents the 33 crores of devathas who obey the commands of Perumal. The key word of this pasuram is’ ippodhe’ (immediately without delay)) . The message is that prappathi should not be delayed. When gnanam dawns and   the desire for samslesham with Perumal comes saranagathi should be done. considering thithi, nakshatram or an auspicious  day is not required to take saranagathi.  Atma Samarpanam (surrendering the soul) takes a small duration of time .Perumal and Pirrati together are upayam (The means). Thayar is Vibhu like Perumal and  our solace are the divya dampathis. Paratatvam is Lakshmi-Narayanan.

Swami then went on to Pasuram -4 of Tirunedunthandakam wherein Tirumangaiazhwar asks his mind to concentrate on the Tatvams (truths). Perumal is the kaaranam (The Cause). He is the cause of all Indras, all Brahmas, the ekadasha Rudras(11 Rudras)  and the panchabhuthams. He is present as Sanskrit and Tamil shabdham, He exists as all  directions and is not fully understood by even celestials.

He is Rahasyan and can be revealed by ashtaksharam. When Hiranyakasipu asks Prahladha “Where is He? ,Prahladha says “Everywhere”. It was to honour the faith of His devotee  ,to make good his vachanam (statement) that Nrisimha entered every particle in creation. Hiranyakasipu had supervised and built a pillar in his palace so he kicked the pillar and thundered “Is He here?” Prahladha said He  is in you, He is in me”  He is everywhere. Ahameva Vedhya:”  says Perumal ,which translates as “All Vedas  speak about Me alone.”  Tamil Prabhandhams talk about Him .Being a familiar language  and the spoken language it is understandable .So difficult Tatvams become comprehensible. They are like grapes which can be eaten effortlessly unlike a coconut which has to be broken, grated and then eaten. Sanskrit Vedams were not understood properly so lot of misinterpretations took place giving birth to various mathams (different schools of philosophy)’ Azhwar Pasurams also make clear Brahmasutra arthams. In this pasuram  Tirumangaiazhwar mentions Tamil Vedams first ,does this  mean they came before Arya Vedams? Dravida vedams can be recited by everyone. It can be understood clearly without confusion. North begins from Tirumalai upwards . Except Tamil all Indian languages are derivatives of Sanskrit. Swami went to explain beautifully the greatness of Sanskrit and Tamil. Sanskrit is referred to as “Arya- Bhasha”  the language of North India. “ Vada “ is north in Tamil and means non-fading. Sanskrit language will never die or fade. Vada also means rounds and refers to the Sanskrit “ varnamala “(ka vargam, cha vargam etc). The Tamil language has no such distinctions and is the only language which has the alphabet zh.

Thus He exists as the four directions ( North, South, East and West), He resides in every created being, He is Nirdoshan (blemishless) and is Sheethalan (cool temperament) .He is Shuddhan (pure) and if full of daya (compassion). He is not touched by the doshams ( faults ) of His creations. If Vedarthams (the purport of the Vedas) are made clear in the Tamil Vedas , did The Azhwars learn Vedams? When we read that Periazhwar used the relevant Vedic texts to establish Paratvam it is understood that he had knowledge of “The Vedas.” Perumal the first acharya in our guru-parampara taught Periazhwar “The Vedas”.Quoting from them Vishnuchitha who always had Him in his chitham (thoughts) effortlessly established that Perumal and Pirrati together constitute Paratatvam.
