The Manmadha Varusha Aippasi Ekadesi Aasthanam took place at Thiruvelukkai Divya desam. On 23rd October 2015, in the morning Ekadasi Abhishekam was performed followed by Aasthanam was done. In the evening, Perumal gave scintillating dharshan to the devotees and Prasada Viniyogam was done in the temple. The Azhagiya Singar temple is situated South of ThiruThanka and about ½ km West of Ashtabhujam temple. Lord Narasimha chose to reside at this place to protect the people from evil forces. Vel signifies desire and since the Lord chose to reside at this place out of his own desire, this place came to called ‘Thiru Velukkai’.
