The Vaikunta Ekadasi festival is an occasion when the Paramapada vaasal is opened for devotees. Paramapada Vasal, colloquially known as Sorga vaasal is the Gateway to Heaven. Vaikunda Ekadasi, the most holy day of supreme significance for all Sri Vaishnavaites, was celebrated in a grand manner at Adhi Jagannatha Perumal Temple, Thirupullani Divyadesam. On December 21st 2015, Sri Adhi Jagannatha Perumal had Sayana Thirukolam along with His Consorts and Azhwars. Later in the evening around 7 pm Perumal entered through paramapada vasal and blessed the devotees followed by asthanam. Thousands of people thronged the temple to have darshan of Divyadampathis and Azhwars and received the blessings.
