On August 27, 2017, Swathi Homam was performed at Poovarasankuppam Sri Lakshmi Narasimhan Kovil in this Hevilambi varusha Avani masam. Sri Lakshmi Narasimhan was decorated with colorful garlands. One of the most foremost shrines of Lakshmi Narasimha, Poovarasankuppam, near Villupuram (Tamil Nadu), is also called South Ahobilam (Dakshina Ahobilam). The presiding deity is Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar and his consort is Sri Amrithavalli Thayar. A lot of devotes took part in the homam and received the blessings of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy.
