The Kāveri Puṣkara Mahotsavam is to celebrate Kāveri mātā, the most sacred river of our Bhārata deśa, once in twelve years when Guru Bhagavān enters Tulā rāśi. This year, this vaibhavam will take place on 12th September 2017. This is a special Kāveri Mahā Puṣkara as it happens after 12 cycles of 12 years, i.e. after 144 years.

This year’s Mahotsavam gets added significance as it happens in the Millenium year of jagadācārya Śrī Rāmānuja, who took Kāveri tīrtham with great reverence for several years. This Mahotsavam is celebrated for 13 days from 12/9/17 to 24/9/17 on the banks of the river Kāveri at Srirangam. The divine mūrthis of Śrīmannārāyaṇa from all the earthly divyadeśams will bless Kāveri mātā during the Mahotsavam.

Viśvaśānti Mahāyāgam and divyadeśaperumāḻ Mahāpūrṇakumbha hārati will be performed during the morning and evening respectively on everyday of the Mahotsavam. It is expected that over thirty lakh devotees from all over the world will participate in the Mahotsavam. All astikas are invited to participate in this grand utsavam and get the divine blessings of Kāveri mātā and Śrīraṅganātha Perumāḻ.
