On 12th April 2018 (Hevilambi panguni sadayam), the 1st day of the Swami Emperumanar Avathara Thirunakshatra Utsavam took place at Parthasarathy Perumal Temple, Thiruvallikeni. On this day, Emperumanar was adorned with kashayam and decorated beautifully with several abharanams and flower garlands. He also wore a golden crown and looked like a king. In the morning, Swami Emperumanar had purappadu on palanquin. Admiring His beauty in the mirror (which was placed inside the palanquin), He gave scintillating darshan to the astikas. In the evening Swami Ramanujar had a great alangaram with a lot of abharanams and flower garlands and had purappadu on Hamsa vaahanam. Grand satrumurai and sevakalam took place with arulicheyal and veda parayana ghosti. Theertham, satari and prasadham was distributed to the devotees. Several astikas participated in the 1st day of the Utsavam and had the blessings of Sri Ramanujar.
