On 25th April 2018 (SriVilambi Chithirai Magam), the 7th day of the Chithirai Utsavam was celebrated well at Nanguneri Sri Vanamamalai Perumal Temple. In the morning, Perumal and Thayar had purappadu on palanquin (pallakku). Admiring their beauty in the mirror kept inside the palanquin, They gave darshan to the astikas. They had great alangaram with several ornaments, flower garlands and pearl fixed beautiful crown. Then in the evening Perumal and Thayar had auspicious alangaram in pink silk vasthram and blue silk saree with long kaasu malai, several chains, green stone fixed crown and flower garland of rose and jasmine. After alangaram, They had purappadu on Punyakoti vimanam. Later in the night Perumal and Thayar had purappadu on kannadi chapapram.
On previous day (24th April 2018,Aayilyam) being the 6th day of the Utsavam,Perumal-Thayar had purappadu on pallakku in the morning and on Gaja Vahanam in the evening. The Divyathampathis gave scintillating darshan to the astikas.
During the utsavam, grand satrumurai and sevakalam takes place with arulicheyal and veda parayana ghosti every day. Several devotees participated in the Utsavam and had the blessings of the Divyathampathis.
