On 4th June 2018 (SriVilambi Vaikasi Thiruvonam), the 9th day of the Vaikasi Brahmotsavam was celebrated well at Sri Varadaraja Perumal Temple, Kanchipuram. In the morning, Perumal had Porvai Kalaithal Utsavam. Porvai kalaithal starts with golden color porvai followed by blue, red and orange and other five colours. Theeparathanai was performed when each color porvai was taken off.
In the evening, Perumal had a great alangaram with several pendants, chains, a big crown and flower garlands. Perumal visited Thoopul to bless Swami Vedanta Desikan. Thereafter, Perumal along with His consorts had purappadu on Puniyakodi Vimanam. Several astikas participated in the Brahmotsavam and had the blessings of Perumal.
