As a part of ongoing Thirunakshatra Utsavam for Sri Gajendra Varadar, Day 6 was celebrated at Thiruvallikeni Temple on 1st June, 2018; Vaikasi- Moolam. For the procession in the Periya Thiruveedhi, Sri Gajendra Varadar adorned a beautiful milk white silk vasthram and He was decorated with ornaments like kaasu malai, several red stone fixed pendants, chains and flower garlands of sevvanthi, thulasi, jasmine, kanakamabaram. Perumal also had a pearl and white stone fixed crown (muthangi crown). After alankaram, Sri Gajendra Varadar had Gaja(Yaanai) vaahana purappadu in the temple streets of Thiruvallikeni. Many devotees participated in the Utsavam and received the blessings of Sri Gajendra Varadar. Grand satrumurai took place with Veda parayana and Prabhandam ghosti.
