Swamy Desikan Thirunakshatra Mahotsavam commenced in Sri Desikan Sannidhi at thiruvaheendrapuram. On this auspicious day, HH Srimad Srirangam Andavan Sri Varaha Mahadesikan also blessed the assembled astikas by his presence, during mangalasasanam.
On this occasion, stone studded new Abhaya Hastham and earrings in the shape of Shanka-chakram was offered to Perumal by HH Andavan Swamy. The whole event was organised in Kannadi Arai.
