Rapathu utsavam was celebrated in a very grand manner in Sri Parampara adheena Ahobila mutt, Sri Lakshmi Narasimhaswami temple at Ahobilam. Adhyayana utsavam was celebrated with participation of many astikas and thiruvaimozhi and prabhandha parayanam was conducted in an aesthetic manner.
On day -1, In the morning, utsavam commenced with Veda parayanam. Alankaram, and Vishesha Aradhanam was performed. Perumal came in procession to thirumamani mandapam, where all the azhwars were present. First day of Rapathu utsavam commenced with recitation of prabhandam in the presence of Perumal and azhwars. Perumal was adorned with muthu kireedom, lotus maalai, and beautiful tri colour Kadamba maalai and varieties of thiruvabharanams. All the azhwars gave darshan to the devotees with pavithramaalai which looked enthralling.
After aradhanam, goshti parayanam, Sattrumurai took place and felicitation was done for azhwars. Finally, theertha prasadam was distributed to the devotees.
