Adhyayana utsavam was celebrated in a very grand manner for the past twenty days in Sri Sowmya Damodara Perumal temple at Villivakkam. Rapathu Pathu utsavam was commenced from 13 January 2022 and would be celebrated till 22 January 2022. The Azhwars were assembled for the Adhyayana utsavam in the Andal sannidhi. Limited parayana goshti only assembled due to pandemic restrictions laid by the Government.
On day-10,(22 january 2022), Thiruvaimozhi pasurams were recited by the Prabhanda parayana swamigal.
Later, Perumal Purappadu took place along with His consorts Sridevi, Bhoodevi Nachiyars along with Azhwar inside premises. Deepa Harathi was performed during purappadu. Nammazhwar thiruvadi thozhal took place in the evening. Azhwars were felicitated by MaalaiMariyadhai and Sri Sadari, followed by nivedhanam. Parayana Goshti swamigal were also felicitated by Sri Sadari. Finally, theertha prasadam was distributed to the assembled devotees.
