Brahmotsavam commenced on 13th May 2022 in a grand a manner in Sri Varadharaja Perumal temple at Kanchipuram. On 17th May 2022, fifth day of Brahmotsavam, Perumal was adorned in Nachiyar thirukolam, came in pallakku during the purappadu in the mada streets. Sathupadi was so mesmerising that one would be surprised whether the deity inside the pallakku was Perumal or Thayar. Assemled devotees in Ahobila mutt had a blissful moment, when HH Srimad Srivann Sri Ranganatha Yatheendra Mahadesikan swami also had darshan of Perumal, when thepperumal arrived and gave darshan inside the Mutt during Purappadu. In the night, Perumal purappadu took place in Yaali vahanam.
