On September 10, 2013; Vijaya varusha Aavani Swathi, Thiruther purappadu for Sri Vaithamanidhi Perumal along with ubhaya nachiyars took place in a grand manner at Thirukolur Divya Desam, which is one of the Nava Tirupathis. On the previous day (September 9, 2013; Vijaya varusha Aavani Chittrai), Ther Kadaksham by Sri Vaithamanidhi Perumal, Nammazhwar and Madurakavi Azhwar took place at 6:30 pm in the evening.

About the Temple:
Located 2 km South East of Azhwar Thirunagari is the Vaithamanidhi Divya Desam at Thirukolur. The Lord is seen in a reclining posture (Bhujanga Sayanam) facing East. This is also avatara stalam of Madurakavi Azhwar, who was the sishya of Nammazhwar. Madurakavi Azhwar is said to be the Gnana Nidhi.
