Vijaya Varusham Sri Vedantha Desikan Avathara Mahotsavam commenced at Tirupathi Swami Desikan Sannadhi on November 1, 2013. On Day 2 (November 2, 2013), Swami Desikan gave darsanam in Maha Lakshmi Thayar Thirukolam. There was recitation of Thiruvaymozhi Irandam pathu and Iyarpa on this day.
This utsavam is celebrated for 10 days in the month of Aippasi after the conclusion of Srivari Brahmostavam at Tirumala. This year, the Avathara Mahotsavam is being celebrated from November 1 to 10, 2013. The utsavam will culminate into Swami Desikan’s Thirunakshatram Satrumurai to be held on Aippasi Sravanam (Tula-masa Sravanam), November 10, 2013. On this day, Sri Govindaraja Swamy along with Ubhaya Nachiyars visit Swami Desikan Sannadhi and stay there for one full day. Devotees are requested to participate in the utsavam and get blessings of Sri Govindaraja Swamy and Acharyan.
