On June 12, 2014; Jaya Varusha Vaikasi Anusham, Day 2 of the three-day Jyesthabhishekam at Tirumala was celebrated.In the morning Snapana Thirumanjanam took place well. In the evening, Perumal adorned the beautiful Muthangi Vastram and had Unjal Sevai and purappadu alongwith the Ubhaya Nachiyars.
On Day 1 morning, after the second archana and second mani at around 7am, Sri Malayappaswamy and Ubhaya Nachiyars had purappadu till the Sampangi Prakaram. Thereafter, Mahashanti homam was performed by the temple priests amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras by 8am. This ritual was followed by Satakalasa Thirumanjanam between 9am to 11am. TTD has cancelled Sahasra Kalasabhishekam and Vasanthotsavam following the annual Jyesthabhishekam on first day.In the evening, Sri Malayappaswamy adorned the Vajra Kavacham-the gold armour studded with precious stones and diamonds, worn only on this occasion once a year. Veedhi purappadu took place for the Divya Dampathis.
