On, July 26, 2014; Jaya Varusha Aadi Punarvasu, Ammavasai Purappadu and day 6 of Thiruvadipooram Utsavam celebrated grandly at Sri Vedantha Desikar Devasthanam (SVDD) Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple, Mylapore, Chennai. On this occasion morning Sri Srinivasa Perumal and Sri Andal had snapana Thirumanjanam.In evening Serthi took place for Perumal and Andal in Kannadi Arai after that on being Ammavasai Thiruveethi Purappadu took place for Perumal in the mada veethis of Mylapore with grand arulicheyal and veda ghosti. Several devotees participated in the Ammavasi purappadu and Thirvadipooram Utsavam Day 6 received the blessings of Divya Dampathis.
Meanwhile, on August 1, 2014, Jyeshtabhishekam is scheduled to take place for Sri Srinivasa Perumal and Thayar on Aadi Hastham. Astikas may make it convenient to attend this utsavam as well, as it a very special one at this temple.
