Yesterday, 5 December 2014; Jaya varusha Karthikai Karthikai; Thirumangai Azhwar Thirunakshatram was celebrated in grand manner at Sri oppiliappan Kovil. In the morning Perumal & Thayar thiruveedhi purappadu took place in the temple streets of oppiliappan Kovil. Later Thirumangai Azhwar did mangalasanam and Asthanam with Divyadampatis, Mariyathai was given to azhwar. Lot of astikas took part in the Azhwar Utsavam and had the blessings of Azhwar and Divyadampatis.
