On 1 January 2016 Manmadha Varusha Margazhi Uthiram, Desika Prabandham Satrumurai was celebrated grandly at Madipakkam Sri Oppilliappan Pattabhisheka Ramar Temple . On this occasion in the evening Sri Oppilliappan has along with Bhoomi Devi Thayar and Azhwar acharyas had asthanam sevakalam and satrumurai took place .Several devotees participated in the utsavam and received the blessings of Acharyas,Azhwar and Divya Dampathis
