Chithirai Sravana Purappadu took place in a grand manner at Thoopul Deepaprakasa Perumal Temple. On April 30th 2016, in the noon Thirumanjanam was performed for Sri Perumal with His Ubhaya Nachiyars along with Swami Desikan. Later in the evening Purappadu took place for Swami Desikan. Grand satrumurai and sevakalam took place with arulicheyal and veda parayana ghosti. Many devotees participated in the Thirumanjanam and Purappadu and received the blessings of Divyadampathis and Swami Desikan.
