HH 46th Srimath Azhagiyasingar, Srimathe Srivan Sathakopa Sri Ranganatha Yathindra Mahadesikan, visited Agaram (near Hosur) on June 20th 2016; offered mangalasasanam to Sri Narasimhan Perumal there. Agaram, located 17 km from Hosur towards Uttanapalli, is a village where a temple is coming up for Sri Narasimhan’s swayanbhu moorthy. It is very interesting to note the discovery of the archamoorthy here. A couple of years back, a devotee, who owned a small piece of land in this village, had a dream in which Sri LakshmiNarasimhan appeared and told him that His archa moorthy exists in his land in Agaram. Excited to know this, the devotee dug up the entire land but was dismayed at not finding the moorthy. However, there was one place he was not able to dig due to existence of a big boulder/parai. In order to move the parai, he hired a bulldozer which broke but the parai could not be moved one bit. Incidentally, that night, Sri LakshmiNarasimhan appeared in his dream again and said that He existed in the parai and a swayanbhu Anjaneyar was also found. While Sri Narasimha is on one side, Sri Sudarsana Azhwar is found on the other side. The discovery was informed to both Srimath Azhagiyasingars (HH 45th and 46th Pattam Jeeyars) at that time. Since then, a temple is currently under construction by a trust formed for the purpose. A small pond has been dug on the site at the command of Sri LakshmiNarasimha. On the spot shown by the Lord, water was found just 6 feet below the ground.
Astikas and temple authorities were very happy to receive Srimath Azhagiyasingar this day. HH offered mangalasasanam to Sri Narasimhan and blessed the devotees there. HH also explained about the swayanbhu moorthy found there to the gathered devotees. Srimath Azhagiyasingar wished well for the temple construction.
