On the fifthday of pavithrotsavam, Homam was conducted both in morning. In the evening, yagasalai pooja was conducted, later Sri Adhikesava perumal with his consorts followed by Sri Peyazhwar thiruveedhi purappadu took place in the temple streets of Mylapore. A huge crowd astikas are invited to attend the Pavithrotsavam and get the blessings of Sri Mayuravalli Thayar and Sri Adhikesava Perumal.
