On 11th October 2016, Durmuki Varusha Navarathiri Utsavam was grandly celebrated at Sri Bhakthavatsala Perumal Temple, Thirukkannamangai Divya desam. On this 11th day of Navarathiri Utsavam, Perumal had Thirumanjanam in the morning at 11am. In the evening, Perumal had Thiruveethi Purappadu in Kudhirai Vahanam and is called as Paari Vettai at 7pm. This marks the conclusion of the ongoing Navarathiri Utsavam which commenced on 1st October 2016. Thirukkannamangai Bhaktavatsalam Divya Desam is located about 25kms South of Thirucherai Divya Desam on the Kumbakonam-Thiruvarur road between two rivers – OdamPokki in the South and Virutha Cauvery in the North. As Lakshmi’s wedding took place here at Thiru Kannamangai, this place is called Krishna Mangala Kshetram.
