On 20th July 2018 (Srivilambi Aadi Swathi) being the first Vellikizhamai of the month, Sri Chenchulakshmi Thayar was dressed in a beautiful combination of red, orange and green color silk vasthram. She was decorated with pearl stone long malai, kaasu malai, manga malai, pendants and flower garlands of rose, kanakambaram and jasmine. She also adorned a beautiful crown. Several astikas participated in the Aadi Vellikizhamai purappadu and had the blessings of Sri Chenchulakshmi Thayar.
