On, 22 October 2015; Manmadha varusha Purattasi Sravanam; Maha Navami Utsavam was celebrated in grand manner at Sri Devaperumal Sannidhi, Kanchipuram. In Morning around 10.00 a.m, Sri Devaperumal with Sri Thayar Purappadu from Kannadi arai to Sri Thayar Sannadhi. The procession took place via Sri Alavandhar Prakaram and around 12.00 pm Divya Dampatis Ezhundarulal at Sri Thayar Sannadhi mandapam . During the procession Veda Parayanam was done near the near Ugrana Vasal for long time and they recited throughout the procession. Later around 1.30 p.m at Thayar Sannadhi, Thirumanjanam was performed to Sri Perundhevi Thayar and Sri Devaperumal in a very grand manner and Asthanam at Mandapam. Lot of Astikaas took part in the Goshti during Purappadu. Several Astikas took part in the Mahanavami morning purappadu and thirumanjanam and had the blessings of Divyadampatis.
