On,27 August 2016; Durmukhi Varusha Avani Mrugaseerusham; Uriyadi Utsavam took place in grand manner at Kanchi Sri Varadaraja Perumal Kovil. In the morning around 7.30 a.m, Sri Kannan in Sesha vahanam thiruveedhi purappadu in the maada veedhis of Kanchipuram. After thiruveedhi purappadu returns to Vahana manadapam and ezhundarulal at Kannadi Arai. Lot of astikas took part in the Uriyadi utsavam morning purappadu and had the blessings of Perumal.
