On September 2 2016, Durmukhi varusha Avani Pooram ; Sri Bhoomi Devi Thayar Kadai Vellikizhamai Utsavam took place grandly at Madipakkam Sri Oppilliappan Pattabhisheka Ramar Temple . On this occasion Morning Sri Bhoomi Devi Thayar and Perumal Sri Oppilliappan had Snapana Thirumanjanam and in evening Perumal and Thayar had Ul purappadu,Oonjal happened in the temple .After that asthanam Saturmurai Sevakalam took place .The unique thing about Kadai Vellikizhamai Utsavam is the Thayar Thiruvadi Sevai happens which takes place only once in a year instead that is the last friday before Varshika Brahmothsavam. Lot of astikas took part in the Kadai Vellikizhamai Utsavam and had the darshan of Thayar thiruvadi Sevai the blessings of Acharyan Thayar and Perumal.
