On, 13 October 2016, Durmukhi varusha Purattasi Sadayam, Day 3 of Swami Desikan Thirunakshatra utsavam celebrated in grand manner at Triplicane Ahobila mutt, Chennai.On this occasion, Swami Desikan gave scintillating darshan in Kannan thirukolam with flute in his hand, then asthanam, Sevakalam and satrumurai. Later Swami Desikan thiruveedhi purappadu took place in the temple streets of Thiruvallikeni. The utsavam will be conducted until 20th october 2016 . Lot of astikas took part in the day 3 of Swami Desikan Thirunakshatra utsavam and had the blessings of Acharya & Perumal.
