On 12 October 2016, Durmukhi Varusha Purattasi Avittam; Pavithrotsavam commences in grand manner at Sri Pundarikaksha Perumal Temple, Thiruvellarai.On this occasion Perumal and Thayar ezhundarulal in the mandapam near Thayar sannadhi. There homam was conducted in the morning and evening with goshti parayanam and satrumurai. Many Srivaishnavas participated in the day 1 to 3 of Pavithrotsavam and had the blessings of Divyadampatis.
